MT101
WestLB is a participant in the SWIFT MT101 Message User Group.
MT101 permits to issue payment instructions against a customer account through a third-party bank as long as the customer’s bank is also a member of the above-mentioned user group.
MT101 is primarily used for cash management purposes by companies maintaining accounts with multiple banks. It can also be used for individual payments where the account holder does not have direct access to the bank managing the account.
WestLB has already signed bilateral MT101 agreements with numerous domestic and international institutions. Please contact us if you are interested in entering into an appropriate agreement with WestLB.
