Access to WestLB Markets Extranet

Requesting access

Registering for access to the WestLB Markets Extranet is quick and easy using the online registration form. You can also access this form from our internet page www.westlbmarkets.net.  Just click on the "Apply for login" link  found underneath the login box at the top right of the page. 

To register, please enter your personal details including the name of your contact within WestLB.  Soon after registration you will be sent an email containing your login details.

Access to an online trading system

To get access to one of our online trading systems please contact your personal WestLB advisor.  Or, if you would prefer, send us a message using the link below.  Please remember to include the name of the system you would like to access in the message.

Access related costs

General access to the WestLB Markets web site is currently free of charge.  However, there is a charge for accessing some of the online trading systems.  For further information please contact your personal advisor.

Your login

To login to the WestLB Markets Extranet, use the userid and password you received via email after registration. If you didn’t receive these, or have forgotten your password, please click here.
The WestLB Markets Extranet will automatically remember your details unless you “logout” using the link towards the top of the page.  To return to the secure part of WestLBMarkets.net click on one of the following:
• "WestLB Markets Extranet" menu option at the top of the page
• "Already logged in - click here" above the login box, or
• the butterfly image in the middle of the homepage

 

Security

Login with UserID and password

The WestLB Markets Extranet provides information and trading systems only available for our customers. Therefore access to these areas is restricted to registered users who have been issued with a userid and password.  Following successful registration you will normally receive both via email.  To help protect this sensitive information, the userid and password will be sent in two halves.  After receiving both pieces of information you can login to the WestLB Markets Extranet immediately.
If your access rights allow you to use certain online trading system a WestLB employee will provide the second half of your password by telephone as an addition security measure.

Password change

For security reasons you are required to change your password after four weeks. Please note the following guidelines for choosing a password.
Your password:
• must be between 8 and 16 characters long
• must contain minimum 4 letters and one digit,
• must not repeat 2 characters in series, i.e. "aa" is allowed, but not "aaa"

Please choose passwords which can not be easily guessed and which differ from your previous passwords in several digits.

Please note that the sytem is case sensitive.

Account locked

After entering an incorrect combination of userid and password three times your account will be locked and you will no longer be able to access the WestLB Markets Extranet.  If this happens please use the online 'Forgotten password' form or contact our hotline (+49 211 826 5550). We will then promplty unlock your account and issue you with a new password.

Internet connection security

To ensure the maximum possible security for your personal data we use the 128 bit SSL encrytion technology. SSL means secure socket layer and describes a secure transfer method according to the public key process. For instance you can recognise a secure internet connection by the beginning of the internet adress (https://.....) and the lock in the status bar of your browser. In case the lock is closed you are in a secure area.

Cookies

Persistant cookies are small text files which store information on the user's PC, they are typically used to store personal website settings. The WestLB Markets Extranet uses a persistant cookie to store information which allows access to the website without you needing to enter your login details on every visit.

Our website is optimised for
 •  the browser Firefox 1.5+ or Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5+
 •  a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 pixel + 
 •  the text size "medium"

Additionally, Java, Javascript and browser cookies must all be enabled.

For displaying PDF files you require the freely available Adobe Acrobat Reader.  Please note the guidelines for software installations on your PC.
